Remarks
May be used for typing Rhodopseudomonas spheroides.
Strain 2.4.7 and its derivatives are resistant to lysis.
Strains 2.4.1 (ATCC 17023) and 8253 are sensitive.
Strain 630 is resistant due to a restriction-modification system; R- derivatives are sensitive to RS1.
