Remarks
Derivative strain of NB31, a commercial strain of serotype H14.
Also held in Novo Nordisk A/S strain collection.
Strain AND508 is cured of its three small circular plasmids (pTX14-1, pTX14-2 and pTX14-3) and still carries the large conjugative plasmid pXO16 and the endotoxin encoding plasmid pBtoxis as well as other large circular plasmids with unknown functions. AND508 naturally releases GIL01 phage particles into the growth medium.
